About

I have been noticeably ill since April 2003. It has only been in recent years that I have come to realise that I have been ill since the day I was born.

I was first aware of my illness(es) after what I thought at the time was just a flu or throat infection. It wasn’t until a few years later that I found out it was actually a bout of Cytomegalovirus (CMV) which in turn triggered what I would later discover to be Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS).

After 10 years of seeing a broad range of health professionals, I was finally diagnosed with CFS and soon after hypermobility and narcolepsy. So after 10 years of not knowing and having many unanswered questions, I moved onto a whole new realm of uncertainty and questions.

Thus began my quest for more definite answers.

Having minimal energy, my search for help and guidance has primarily been limited to browsing the internet. In some cases I’ve come across an abundance of information, but in other cases I’ve struggled to find anything of relevance.

Slowly, over time I’ve built up more and more resources and begun to piece together the mystery that is my health.

My hopes are that one day I’ll be able to bring it all together and work to help others stuck in the limbo of not truly understanding who they are and why they’re not ‘healthy’.

  1. I also discovered I had cytomegalovirus after visiting a nutritionist who used a bioresonance machine! It triggered my CFS along with Epstein Barr Virus (Glandular Fever). I was lucky to get a CFS diagnosis after a year of medical tests and waiting anxiously for results. You can read my story here http://wp.me/p4x2w3-H
